Cascading Style Sheets are now preferred to basefont. Basefont specifies some font attributes for the text that follows. When used within <head> tags, it applies to the whole document. In IE 3.0 and above, it can be used with color=#rrggbb or color=name> to set the font color, and face=font to set the font. Size=1|2|3|4|5|6|7 sets the absolute font size, and size=+1|+2|+3|+4|-1|-2 sets the font size relative to a default of 3. Any relative size settings thereafter will be relative to this size.
