I spent a lazy day at John and Day's home in the Portland area. We watched the news, talked, played with the dogs, stood out in the sun (the weather was very kind), ate, watched racoons, watched birds, and repaired to the computers. :-)
Poor Dayhawk had to work. I took photos of the local wildlife, including a squirrel on one of the raccoon feeding stations.
A bonus was being able to talk to Iri§h by phone.
More of the same until it was time to go back to the airport. John was my chauffeur this time, and we took the scenic route. :-) I caught flight UA 2615 to Los Angeles, which was supposed to leave at 18:45 and get in at 21:04, but was half an hour late (the only late plane of my entire holiday). Portland airport has some good shops though, so I was able to buy some postcards, etc.
I did wonder if it would be very crowded driving through town, as it was the night of the Oscars, but it was OK.
