JavaScript Expressions
An expression is any valid combination of literals, operators, and/or variables that evaluates to a single value (a number, a string, or a logical value). There are two kinds of expression, conceptually - those using assignment operators (these assign a value to a variable, e.g. x = 5) and those using other operators (e.g. 2 + 3).
In JavaScript there are 3 types of expressions:
- Arithmetic: evaluates to a number, for example 1.2345
- Logical: evaluates to true or false
- String: evaluates to a character string, for example, "Chris" or "42"
