Energy Conservation
One of the reasons we are using so much energy is that we are very profligate in its use. For instance, more efficient insulation in houses would reduce energy use for heating, and thereflre lower electricity bills. It isn't quite that simple, though. Sometimes manufacturing materials for energy conservation can itself use up a lot of energy.
