Nuclear

Nuclear energy is energy released from atoms of elements such as uranium. These are not renewable. It was developed after the second world war. It is stil in use, but there are concerns about dealing with the waste products, which remain dangerous for a very long time, and with the risks.

Fast breeder reactors use plutonium, whch can also be used for nuclear weapons.
